Terms and Conditions

TO HIRE A SWYTCH ENABLED BIKE THE CUSTOMER AGREES TO SHARE THEIR CONTACT INFORMATION INCLUDING EMAIL ADDRESS TO SWYTCH BIKES • The customer agrees to fulfill the contract by paying the amount agreed with the supplier prior to taking custody of the bicycle. All bicycles booked in advance are guaranteed to be available. • The customer will be responsible for the bicycle during the period of hire until the bicycle is returned to the point of collection. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure the bicycle is locked with the lock provided to a secure bike stand or similar object when the bicycle is left unattended. • ANY LOSS WILL RESULT IN RECOVERY OF COSTS FOR REPLACEMENT OF THE BIKE AND EQUIPMENT. THE CUSTOMER WILL HAVE 7 DAYS FROM NOTIFICATION OF THE LOSS TO PAY OR MONIES WILL BE CHARGED TO THE CARD DETAILS LEFT AS SECURITY. IN THE CASE OF LOSS OF A BIKE THE MINIMUM CHARGE WILL BE £500.00 • The customer will be liable for all damage to the bicycle during the hire period. All bicycles will be hired to the customer in a safe rideworthy state if the customer discovers a fault with the bicycle the supplier must be notified prior to the customer undertaking repairs otherwise the cost of repairs will not be refunded. • LATE RETURN OF THE BICYCLE WILL INCUR A CHARGE OF £50 PER DAY OR PART DAY THE BICYCLE IS NOT RETURNED. • The customer agrees to cycle in a responsible manner and adhere to the Highway Code and local byelaws. Fines and costs resulting from breaking these laws are the responsibility of the customer. • All bicycles will be provided with the legally required equipment for cycling on the road in the United Kingdom, helmets are provided for a small daily fee if required. Under 16’s using this hire service must be accompanied by a responsible adult and helmet use is mandatory. • By signing this agreement, the customer declares that they are in good health and do not suffer from a medical condition or disability that may affect control of the bicycle.
